The evaluation of the angle of reduction and the dorsal acetabuli slope for early detection of canine dysphasia

Mira Foundation, Montreal, 2001.

Hip dysplasia is a developmental anomaly (dysplasia) of the hip (hip joint). It has been observed in many species including dogs, cats and humans. It is the most frequent orthopedic illness in dogs. Contrary to humans, dogs are born with a normal hip but with growth appear pathological changes that will eventually lead to joint degeneration (arthritis of the hip joint).
