Adopt an
unselected dog
What is an unselected dog?
After their evaluation at Mira, dogs are directed to the training program that best suits their profile and abilities. However, some dogs may not be selected for training or may be unselected during the course of their training.
Several factors can be involved:
Physical conformation
Behavior
Health
Etc.
These dogs are then considered unselected and are ready to become family pets.
How to adopt an unselected dog
The first step is to complete the form at the bottom of the page. Unselected dogs can be adopted for a donation determined by Mira.
The amount varies depending on the training the dog has received and their health, and also includes:
Spaying/neutering
Vaccinations
Foster family gets priority
In most cases, the family who cared for the dog during its first year of life has priority for adoption. If they decline, Mira will contact people on the waiting list, taking into account the dog’s temperament and needs to ensure the best possible environment.
Adoption request
You can fill out the form to request adoption of an unselected dog
Please note that Mira cannot guarantee that everyone will be contacted to adopt an unselected dog. Several criteria are considered by our team when reviewing applications, including living environment, availability, experience with dogs, and more.
