Steps to follow
To organize a fundraising event in support of Mira, we invite you to complete our form at the bottom of the page.
Once your project is approved, Mira will provide you with all the tools and documents needed to plan and execute your event:
An authorization letter to solicit donations or sponsors;
The Mira logo with usage guidelines;
A sample solicitation letter;
A deposit report;
A tax receipt report.
After the event, you will need to submit the funds raised along with a detailed report of your activity within 15 days of the event date. These steps allow us to support you effectively and ensure the success of your initiative.
Criteria to be met
Mira encourages organizers to add a personal and creative touch to their events. However, certain guidelines must be followed:
The name of your event must clearly indicate that the funds raised will go to Mira (e.g., Dinner in the Dark “in support of Mira”);
Door-to-door fundraising is not permitted;
The Mira name and brand cannot be used to sell commercial products or services (unless part of an agreement with our main partners);
Fundraising through lotteries in Mira’s name is not allowed;
Fundraising events cannot be associated with any other pet store or animal product business besides Mondou, our main partner. Organizers must comply with this rule and not include other animal-related businesses in their event.
Ideas for taking action
Looking to organize an event but short on ideas? Here are a few suggestions:
For individuals: Sports events, Dinner in the Dark, garage sale, benefit concert, car wash, yoga class, Zumbathon, and more.
For businesses: Networking cocktail, silent auction, golf tournament, wine and cheese evening, “Jeans for a Cause,” and more.
For schools: Bake sale, sports tournament, talent contest, and more. You can also support our mission by booking a Mira presentation.
