A rigorous program

At the Mira Foundation dogs are subjected to a complete health program. The medical staff is in charge of discovering the hereditary diseases origin in order to control the reproduction.They also apply a rigorous health program to all the animals at the Foundation.

Daily, the staffs watches over health and breeding conditions as well as training. Two days a week, Monday and Wednesday are dedicated to veterinarian practices: X-rays, hysterectomy, castration, current care, inoculation, etc.

Mira works in close collaboration with University of Montreal veterinary’s school who acts as consultant for opinions and practices of expertise.

The Foundation is ahead of its time in the field of the detection of the dog dysphasia due to its radiography program supervision: x-ray done at 6 months, 1 year and 2 years old.
